Bed Time

20 hour work days are not worth the overtime and doubletime pay no matter how much the paycheck is.

Podcasts

For those that are not familiar with the term podcast, they are a sort of online, on demand broadcast that can be downloaded and saved to a computer or MP3/iPod player. What started as an underground type broadcast is now mainstream with the help of Apple’s iTunes. Even companies like Fox News, BBC, and Disney have them.

So why am I mentioning podcasts now? I am in the middle of a flight from Houston to Orange County listening to some of my favorite programs. I have my friend Andy’s podcast, Thought Press, APM’s Future Tense, and BBC World’s Go Digital. These are just a few of the many I have on my iPod. It is great to get radio programs with great news whenever you want.

Well, back to the flight.

Quick Update

Well, I am on my break and sitting outside Mickey’s Toontown Fair in the Magic Kingdom chatting with my friend Patrick while he is at work. Just a quick update on things. Saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night with Patrick, loved it and then picked up my new Honda Elemment today. More updates later tonight with more details.

Life at the Beach

Well, this weekend has been great. I finally got the chance to get away from Orlando for the first time since last fall. I drove to Naples to meet up with my family for a nice long weekend. This is my third and final day at the pool and beach. I am heading back to work tomorrow and the start of a ten day stetch before my next day off. Back to the sun and fun.

Weekend Away

So this weekend I finally got away from Orlando for the first time since I went home in September. I headed south to St. Petersberg to stay with some college buddies that are still at Eckerd. Last night I got the chance to relax on campus and then a chance to sleep in this morning after being awaken last night to a smoke flair being set off in the form I was staying. Don’t miss that part of college life much.

Went up to International Plaza in Tampa with Pete and grabbed a bite to eat at Champs before going to the Apple Store and Abercrombie. We returned to campus to work on our computers as we used to do before he needed to get back to his homework. I then joined Steve and Emily for the showing of ‘The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou‘ at the Environmental Film Festival, which was one of the reasons I ended up coming down this weekend. This movie is one of the funniest I have seen in a while. Absolutely hysterical. Go see it when you get a chance.

Just relaxing in Steve’s dorm deciding how late I am going to stay or if I will crash here again instead of driving home. Well, that’s all for now.
