Waiting for Santa
Ok, so it just took me an hour to get back home. Something that usually takes 15 minutes. I guess I timed my drive home with the same time that Epcot closed. Oh well. So, I am back in Florida after a full yet enjoyable two days in Minnesota. I got a chance to see my friend Anna and then got the chance to see all my family, first at Grandpa and Grandma’s party on Friday night (Thank you again Grandpa and Grandma) and then over at mom and dad’s house before I hit the plane back to Florida. I also got my first chance in three years to celebrate Christmas with my family, even if it was a day or two early.
I think it was waiting at the airport in Minneapolis yesterday that I realized that this is going to be a busy week at work. For those that have never been to Walt Disney World the week of Christmas/New Years, it is busy. We close at capacity at least once each day. So, it was while waiting for my flight to board that I looked around and saw all these families with small kids and realized that they are all going to the same place, Walt Disney World and the Magic Kingdom. My sold out flight was all following me home to Orlando. This is going to be a fun week.
Well, it’s time to head to bed and wait for Santa Claus to come. I’ve gotten most of my gifts so far but I still have a few waiting under the tree till tomorrow morning. Off to go dream of a white christmas

Back to Reality
Ok, I am officially back in reality (OK, Disney Reality) here in Orlando. I am still recovering from my week long trip to California which included Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, Newport Beach and Hollywood. It is hard to be back after such a great week with friends and family. I want to say a big thank you out to my Aunt’s Parents, Carol and Ed for opening up their home for my friends and myself to enjoy the lovely Newport Beach for a day. Carol and Ed, the group greatly enjoyed the day at the beach and we want to let you know how much fun it was for you to join us for dinner in New Orleans Square.
Perfect weather the entire trip with no rain and not too cold evenings/days. I love Disneyland and the history behind the park itself and having gotten a special opportunity to ride in Walt’s train, the EP Ripley, I have a new appreciation of the Disney Heritage that I help cary on every day at the Magic Kingdom.
I don’t know what it is but, I just love California. The weather is perfect and there is no humidity like Florida. I could see myself living out there someday. Just need a job with Corporate first. This trip was different compared to last years because I got a chance to drive around a bit and get away from the world of fantasy and see what the town was like. Don’t worry, no big decision have been made to leave Florida anytime soon but, I am keeping my options open. I have a lot of exciting things in the works for my career here in Orlando to keep me busy for at least a few years.
Well, that’s all I have for now. Time to get some much needed sleep after a busy first week back from the Happiest Place on Earth.

London Update 28 January
Today is it. It is my last day in London England this year. Let me recap a little bit about last night. After work, I met up with my good frine Sulekha whom I went to college with in FL. She graduated last year and is now living in Endinburgh and studying at St. Andrews. We went to areat pub for dinner and then out for a few pints aftwards. It was brilliant to see her again. Sulekha, if you read this, come back to Florida!
Today was my last day at NASN. I was only in for a half day as I still needed to pack this evening. I did my usual tasks at work and then I was taken out to lunch by everyone in the office and given a great going away gift of a NASN fleece. I had a great experience and I wish it could be a little longer despite being ready to head back to the US of A.
My flight is at 10.10 am tomorrow morning from Heathrow which means I will be leaving where I am staying around 06.15 am. I then fly to Chicago for a quick lay over beofer heading ot Minneapolis and arriving around 04.15 pm. Then before I know it, I will be back in Florida on Sunday and at Disney World on Monday. Now to go enjoy my last night in London with the snow. Let it snow, let it snow, Let it snow.

London Update 27 January
Well, the end is now almost here. I am finalizing some projects here at NASN before heading out to dinner with my friend Sulekha whom graduated last year from Eckerd and whom I haven’t seen in a year. I can’t wait. Should be a fun time. Tomorrow I will be in at NASN half the day then packing. That’s about it to report for now.

London Update 26 January
The days are ticking away until I head back to MN. This past weekend, I spent it relaxing and being a tourist. I met up with some friends at the Eckerd College Study Centre on Friday evening after work and had a nice American dinner, Pizza Hut. It was nice to have something familiar (and cheap as well). Saturday I selpt in a bit and then trekked over to the west end to Eckerd once again where a group of us set out for Greenwich and the National Maritime Museum and Royal Observetory, where the prime meridian is located. That was a fun filled day of hiking and museum gonig before we parted ways at Waterloo station. I went home to the Docklands and proceded to make myself some dinner and do a load of laundry.
Sunday, I simply relaxed and slept in. After waking up, I just watch Hollyoaks and read my textbook for class and started sorting out my thoughts for my final paper. Today I am at work which will be my second to last full day. Intersting thought that I have been here almost a month and it has just flowen by. Anyways, I’m off to head back to my projects and then home in a bit.

London Update 22 January
Well folks. exactly a week from today I will be heading back to the US of A. It has been a fun month but the high exchange rates have not made it fun financially. Another day in the office today with lots of work being done on final preparations for the Super Bowl party promotions we are running. Last night was a relaxing one and I was able to catch ER on Channel 4 which made me happy. Too bad they are a season behind the US over hear but it is my favorite show none the less.
In other news, I am still waiting for the WDW College Program to finish updating their website database so I can apply for the CP for next fall. That’s call for now.
