Ok, so on a whim I decided to walk through the Emporium to get to the tunnel to go home today after work. I stop to say hi to a former manager of mine there and one of the older Cast Members whom I worked with when I was in the Emporium back in 2004 mentions to me that someone from Minnetonka was in looking for me. Now mind you I have not worked in the Emporium since March of 2005 which made it really strange. When I wasn’t there, the person asks for this other Cast Member (the one who told me someone was looking for me) who tells him that I am now on trains and turnstiles. Didn’t get a name.
So, if you are from Minnetonka and were the one looking for me, you can find me on Main Street. Shoot me an e-mail so I can give you an updated cell number if you still have my old 612 or 727 numbers.

Hello once again my dear readers. I know that my updates have been lacking in the past few months but I have been pretty busy with work and what not. Fear not, I am still around and kicking but with an average work week of 50+ hours in a hot train plus a fairly active social group. So I am still around, just not much new really to report.

Well, after watching the finale of The West Wing and the end of the Bartlett Administration, I started thinking about the long journey I have had so far in my career. This coming week will mark my two year anniversary with the Walt Disney World Resort as well as my graduation from Eckerd College. I started as a merchandise host in the Emporium followed by Magic Kingdom Strollers. Then, I took the plunge in to operations with Main Street Ops where not only did I get to do Park Greeter but also Conductor and Engineer on the Walt Disney World Railroad.
Main Street Ops has also given a place to grow and strengthen my leadership skills as not only a trainer for new cast members in the area but also as an area coordinator/lead for our cast. As I posted a few weeks ago, I recently applied for Guest Relations. This would not only a promotion for me but also another beginning to what I hope will be a long career with the Walt Disney Company.
While I was planning on waiting a bit to post about the results of my interview until I had a final word on what was going on, many have e-mailed and asked and news has been leaking out around the Kingdom. I recieved official word on Friday that I am in the Guest Relations pool. Yes, I did get accepted to Guest Relations. I do not however know how long it will be before I am picked up and given an actual location. All four parks and Downtown Disney are fair game. As much as I have enjoyed working in the Magic Kingdom, I am looking forward to the possibility of working in another park.
So, here is to new beginnings.
