So I am now back in Minnesota for break. It’s in the 30s and 40s with the spring muck taking over outside. Had a nice day with family and then went to the Mall of America for dinner with my friend Scott. It was a fun time to hang out and what not. Now off to bed! More later.

The a Little Work
So after a fun day yesterday, I had to return to college mode and go to my 10 am Ecotheology class and then take my second exam in Ethical Issues in Human Development class. Since then I have been sorting through all my things in my dorm room as I pack for spring break looking over what I will need at Disney and what I should take home for good. It seems odd thinking about all that now when it isn’t until May that I move. Oh well, I am all packed up now for spring break starting tomorrow after I get in from Advanced Policy class and then it is off to TIA to fly home to cold Minnesota. Oh I can’t wait! Break here I come!

A Little Magic
Well, since I am going crazy with cabin fever having been working my but off the last few weeks and having the slight taste of a break this bast weekend when I went to Naples to see family, Andrew and I went up to Walt Disney World for the afternoon/evening yesterday. All I can say is these tips,
- Avoid Disney during spring break time
- If you must visit at spring break time, don’t complain about the lines (170+ minutes for Test Track)
- Enjoy all several thousand of your new friends you will meet while waiting
That said, we still had a great time since we met up with friends working there and just enjoyed being away from the Eckerd Bubble. We ended the evening at the Magic Kingdom for Wishes, the new fireworks show that started in November. This is a great show and it is up there in my mind with Illuminations at Epcot which is still one of my favorite. Man I can’t wait to work there! Just have to ride it out till 24 May I guess.

Up and Down
So our internet came back around 16:00 today and then dropped again later tonight only to come back later. Talk about a royal pain! Anyways, I went to the YMCA to work out this afternoon and have just been relaxing/studying this evening. I have a phone interview tomorrow morning for Camp Lincoln for Boys and then class in the afternoon. Lets hope the internet stays running for tomorrow so I can get projects done.

Disney Here I come?
Well, this Thursday, I had my interview for the Walt Disney World College Program and I felt it went really well. SHould I get accepted, I will be heading to the House of Mouse to live, learn and earn for six months. This morning I was at a Red Cross workshop with information on the new DSHR (Disaster Services Human Resources) which is the program that sends volunteers to respond to disasters nation wide. Now I’m just going to relax this afternoon. Got a nice nap at the beach yesterday and if the weather stays clear, today may be another one. Oh and incase you missed it, I was interviewed for an article on WiFi in the home that was published this Friday (05 March, 2004) in the Wall Street Journal’s Home Front section. The article is located on page W10.

Back in a Routine
So I finally got a work out routine figured out where I can take advantage of the membership I have at the YMCA here in St. Petersburg. I started today with an hour in the fitness center followed by 45 minutes of swimming. Man it feels good. Not much else new. Still swamped so updates will be slim.

And the winner is….
Well, it is sunday night and we are watching the Oscar’s on TV. This weekend has been one mixed with studying and just being a college student. Yesterday Pete and I went up to International Plaza and checked out the new iPod minis and I also got an update on my T-Mobile applicaiton. The iPod mini is a cool looking device but in my opinion, you might as well spend the extra $50 to get 15 GB full size iPod instead of the small 4GB that the mini has.
As for last night, well as the temperature dropped to around 45ºF outside, yes we are still in Florida, our school put on pool party at the Eckerd College pool. I think 4 or 5 people actually got in but, it had FREE and cheep beer. I can’t complain. Turn out was a little light and I’m sure it could have been abig event had the weather been better and it had mroe than just food, beer, and music.
Today I worked on homework and got some jobs done around the dorm. I FINALLY got around to swaping out my car battery and then went to the Library to watch Koyaanisqatsi by Godfrey Reggio. Interesting movie and I would recomend it be seen by anyone. Now as Lord of the Rings continues to clean house on the Oscar’s, I am reading for Ecotheology and Ethical Issues in Human Developement. Well, Time to get back to the Academy and reading. Have a good start to the week.

Up and Running
I got my replacement hard drive today and it was an expedition in itself to install it. Needless to say 3 hours later, I had the case off and the drive installed. Just another 30 minutes to get the case back on and a few more hours installing everything while I studied for a test. Off to bed now but I am up and running again! Yay!
