So, after almost 6+ years, I decided it was time to move Webby Aquatics to a new home. Starting today, Webby Aquatics is now hosted by Super Green Hosting. Not only is are these guys cheaper than my old host, they offer so much more options and services than my old one. Most everything from my pervious install of WordPress moved over but, it looks like there might be a few random characters that will pop up due to the nature of importing and exporting SQL files.
Also, in the interest of Earth Day coming up, Webby Aquatics is now 100% Green hosted thanks to Super Green Hosting.
- The energy used to power this websites server, is 100% ‘Green’ renewable energy
- This website is hosted on a ‘Green’ energy efficient server
- By going green this website has contributed to the Super Green Hosting ‘Green’ tree planting project
- My web hosting company employ ‘Green’ ethics throughout their data centers and offices.

So look for more updates to come!

Today officially marks not only the 36th Birthday of the Walt Disney World Resort but also the 25th Birthday of something unique that is truely one of a kind, EPCOT Center. Walt Disney described EPCOT as:
But the most exciting and by far the most important part of our Florida Project…in fact, the heart of everything we’ll be doing in Disney World…will be our Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow! We call it EPCOT.
It’s like the city of tomorrow ought to be. A city that caters to the people as a service function. It will be a planned, controlled community, a showcase for American industry and research, schools, cultural and educational opportunities.
EPCOT will be an experimental prototype community of tomorrow that will take its cue from the new ideas and new technologies that are now emerging from the creative centers of American industry. It will be a community of tomorrow that will never be completed, but will always be introducing and testing and demonstrating new materials and systems. And EPCOT will always be a showcase to the world for the ingenuity and imagination of American free enterprise.
While the Epcot that is today may not be exactly what Walt had envisioned, it is still very much an international community with a focus on new discoverys and technology and a World’s Fair with International Showcase. Here’s to another 25 years!

Ok, I finally have a free moment that I can update everyone on what has been going on since I got back from France. First off, I have been working non-stop since I got back. Due to me moving a few days off for the trip, I ended up having to work almost two full weeks before my day off. It was ok though. I got some great shifts and even had the opportunity to award a night in the Cinderella Castle Suite.
This past Saturday though marked the end though to my time at the Magic Kingdom. As some of you know, I had interviewed for a position with Walt Disney World Ticketing earlier this summer. I had taken the amazing role with the Dream Squad for a hold over but still was looking forward at My Disney Career. After three years, I will no longer be working in a theme park. This week, I officially moved over to Walt Disney World Ticketing as the Ticket Fulfillment Coordinator and will be based out of an office in Celebration, FL.
After the first two days, I am really excited about the direction my career is going. I am moving to an area that seems very good on cast retention and one that will offer me lots of ways to grow and develop myself more with the company. My exact role is pretty flexible but the basics are that I will be the coordinator for all the production of tickets from physically producing them to designing them at the Walt Disney World Resort and will also help support some of the production for Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland. Like I said, I am really excited.
That’s the update in a nutshell folks. Hope to see updates more often.

Since I have been getting a lot of questions lately about the rumors of me leaving Main Street Operations, Here is the e-mail that I sent out to the Main Street Operations Team:
When asked about WED Enterprises, Walt Disney said, “Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” There are times in our lives that we need to make a move in order to keep ourselves motivated to keep moving on our careers.
I wanted to send out an e-mail to inform everyone that my last day with Main Street Ops will be Thursday, June 21. I have accepted an assignment with the Dream Squad here at the Magic Kingdom and will begin there on Sunday, June 24. I am still in the process of interviewing for a coordinator position with Walt Disney World Ticketing and have not given up my passion towards that side of our business.
My time on Main Street has been a great learning experience and one that is filled with lots of great memories and friends. It has been an honor to be a part of this team and I look forward to working with everyone again in the future. Thank you again.

Well, I know it has been a long time since I have last posted but there is a good reason. I have been moving! That’s right folks, I have been in the process over the last few months purchasing my first home. I decided that it was time to settle down and with some great support of my family, purchased a one-bedroom/one-bath 863 square-foot condo in Lake Buena Vista at Discovery Palms. My new place is only 3 miles from where I used to rent but, it will be a great place for me to settle down and concentrate on my career here at Walt Disney World.
Check out the photos of my new place:

Well, I am still sorting things out around the site. I made the upgrade to Word Press 2.1 for stability reasons along with the upgrade to the new K2 Theme. After upgrading, I was having some server issues and compatibility issues with some of my plug-ins used in Word Press so I am finally getting all those fixed and updated.
With the new upgrade now in place, you as the reader should see some improvements in searches and browsing through older posts. The search is now a live search and will display your results instantly and thanks to some AJAX code in K2, my archives are also live updating and can be sorted and browed several different ways. Let me know what you think.

With the departure of the Christmas/Holiday season, my main header was in need of a change. For now, since I am in a beach mood after visiting Eckerd and thinking about California, I have picked a nice picture of a sunset from a LA County Lifeguard tower that I have had for a while. Enjoy.
